This small remote island village of Tangier on Virginia’s eastern shore needed a flooring solution for an existing multi-purpose gymnasium. The structure had been built just above the water line with a treated wood substrate, and posed challenges for almost all flooring types, but Gerflor’s Taraflex® Sport M Plus over Isolsport provided the technical solution to their problem. Although the logistics of transporting by barge and staging the material were also difficult, the installation team proved up to the challenge, and the result is a beautiful new gym floor that will deliver safe, proven performance for this community for many years.
