“There were many reasons we wanted to go with this court,” said Head Coach Jim McLughlin. “It’s better for the players in terms of extra cushioning for safety and longevity. It is the most elite floor in the world; they use it for the Olympics and most of the major world championships. It’s a custom purple Husky floor, and it makes the arena a volleyball arena.”

Taraflex®, a cushion-backed sheet vinyl used in the world’s premier volleyball events such as the Olympic Games and FIVB championships events, and the NCAA® as well. A total of 30 sheets of Taraflex were rolled out and connected to create a single, clean main court surrounded by purple.
This is the second Taraflex floor for the Huskies.
