The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill volleyball program has unveiled a new Taraflex® Sport M Plus court featuring our Maple wood grain and a custom Tar Heels blue border. The new court will host matches inside the historic Carmichael Arena, marking the first time the Tar Heels will compete on a volleyball-dedicated surface during head coach Mike Schall’s tenure. 

Previously sharing a multi-use floor with the women’s basketball team, the Tar Heels now train and compete on the same Taraflex® surface trusted for elite play worldwide — including the NCAA Volleyball Championships. 

“The new Taraflex court is a big deal for our program,” said Schall. “It enhances our student-athlete experience by giving them a safer surface to play on and gives Carmichael Arena even more of a volleyball feel. We are beyond grateful for the support that made something like this possible.”
